Nicole is an associate at Victor Vallance Blais LLP and has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since her call to the bar in 2021.

Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts (2017) and Juris Doctor (2020) from Dalhousie University. Prior to joining the team at Victor Vallance Blais LLP in 2024, Nicole completed her articles and worked as an associate in the area of family law at a national firm in Ottawa.

Nicole represents clients in a wide range of litigation files which include high conflict parenting matters, complex property issues, and income determination and support calculations. She appears regularly in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Nicole also assists clients with matters outside of court, including negotiating and drafting cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements, as well as engaging in forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Outside of the practice of law, Nicole is an avid cyclist and runner, and enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Josh is an associate at Victor Vallance Blais LLP, where he practices exclusively in family law.

Josh was called to the Bar of Ontario in February 2023. He joined the firm in May 2022 as an articling student after receiving his J.D. from the English Common Law program at the University of Ottawa in 2022. Before attending law school, he completed a Bachelor of Arts Honours in English with a minor in History at the University of Guelph, and worked as a day-trader.

Josh is focused and driven to provide outstanding client experiences. He strongly believes in good communication and in the power of alternative dispute resolution processes.

Whilst articling at the firm, Josh assisted many lawyers with complex family law matters including separation agreements, mediations, negotiations, and the litigation process. He is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association and the Law Society of Ontario.

Laura is an associate at Victor Vallance Blais, who practices exclusively in the area of family law.

Laura has significant experience providing guidance and support to her clients on a wide variety of matters, including separation and divorce, parenting disputes, child and spousal support, property division, as well as cohabitation and/or marriage contracts. Laura has experience representing clients at all stages of family law litigation proceedings. Ira is an associate at Victor Vallance Blais practicing exclusively in the area of family law. He was called to the bar in 2016 and joined Victor Vallance Blais LLP in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, Ira practiced family law at well-respected firms in Toronto and Ottawa. He is a graduate of Dalhousie University (B.A.) and received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Ira has a wide practice dealing with parenting, support and property issues of all sizes and complexity. Michele is the Managing Partner at Victor Vallance Blais since 2012. She is certified as a Family Law Specialist by the Law Society of Upper Canada and is one of the most senior and experienced family law lawyers in the City of Ottawa. She obtained both her Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and her law degree from the University of Ottawa.
