David Cutler is a partner in the Civil Litigation Group at Victor Vallance Blais.

David practices in all areas of civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury litigation, corporate/commercial litigation, insurance law, estate litigation and employment law. David has acted for his clients in the Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal for Ontario, Supreme Court of Canada, Federal Court of Canada, Public Service Labour Relations Board, and Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.

He is a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.A.) and Queen’s University (LL.B.), and was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 2001.

Michele is the Managing Partner at Victor Vallance Blais since 2012. She is certified as a Family Law Specialist by the Law Society of Upper Canada and is one of the most senior and experienced family law lawyers in the City of Ottawa. She obtained both her Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and her law degree from the University of Ottawa. Michele skillfully handles complex, family matters in divorces, custody and access disputes, child/spousal support, division of property and business assets.

Fluently bilingual, Michele’s clients appreciate her no-nonsense approach and her strong, competitive drive to achieve the best possible results. She has considerable expertise in litigation – conferences, motions, and trials. Michele is certified to screen for power imbalances and family violence. She is also adept at negotiating domestic contracts, including marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, parenting agreements and separation agreements.

As head of the Civil Litigation Group and a senior partner at Victor Vallance Blais, Stephen Victor focuses his practice on civil litigation and advocacy. Areas of emphasis include corporate/commercial litigation and complex litigation matters, as well as personal injury, disability and general insurance, real estate, employment and estate issues.

Stephen graduated from Carleton University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1966 with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) and was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1968. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1981.

In his over 53 years of practice, Stephen has acted as lead counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Federal Court Trial Division, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the International Association of Trial Lawyers and Jurists, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the County of Carleton Law Association.

Stephen continues to be actively involved in the community and has received numerous honours and awards.
